Miranda has been trying very hard to sit up unassisted for about a week or so. Well, today she did it she'll only last for about 5/7 minutes then goes sideways. But, she is doing very well with her mile stones.

During and after the storm

During the storm it was horrbile. Thank god the kids slept thru the whole thing. Me and Joe sat in the living room and looked at each other with every noise. "I kept asking him what was that?" Our boards on our windows started to vibrate and it was very scary. I think it would of been ok if it didn't take forever but, it went on, on and on...... I really want to Thank my mom, sister, aunt, Marissa and Jessica my friends who weathered the storm with us thru text message. My family was with us from 12 mid night thru 4:30 am. I think if it wasn't for them I wouldn't of gotten thur this. Thank you so much for the moral support thur this.

Afterwards well we turned on our generator and ac and unboarded the windows. The neighbors came over for a while and of course the girls played. We were with out power from Friday at 8 pm thru Tuesday. Also, Jessica and Devina stayed with us for a day. It was very nice because Larissa had her big sister to keep her company.

This storm was both of the girls first storm that the've been thru. Never again!

Thank God, we only had minimal damage. Our fence was knocked down, ceiling fans were gone from our patio.

Getting ready for Hurricane IKE

We were getting ready for Hurricane IKE. Larissa was helping her daddy outside. While we were preparing for the BIG storm Larissa and her friend Morgan played outside. Who know how many days before they get to play together again. We were very well prepared. We had a Generator, A.C unit and perishable foods and water. We were very fortunate.. When we were done preparing we "Honkered Down".....

Look at the art work that the girls did before the storm

Today was Larissa's 1st day of Pre School. She is going to Sagemont. When we got there she really suprised us. She was a big girl and didn't cry at all. Her teachers are Mrs. Marta and Ms. Leslie. They said she did very well for her 1st day. And get this she already has homework. She has to bring something that starts with the letter (A).
